Intuitive Super innovates to address accountant’s ASIC woes

Intuitive Super has recently launched a new self-managed superannuation (SMSF) advice service for accountants.

Intuitive Super’s services have been specifically designed to help accounting firms navigate ASIC’s new education and training requirements for providing financial advice, which come into effect on 1 July 2016. ASIC’s requirements have left many accountants wondering how to be ‘RG146 compliant’ and continue providing SMSF trustees with the advice they need.

Intuitive Super identified four conventional routes to meeting ASIC’s rigorous compliance standards, most of which carry onerous reporting and competency requirements or, worse, that potentially create fee holes or client drift.

“Coming from an accounting background ourselves, we see many accounting firms facing a tough decision,” says Intuitive Super Director Wayne Turner. “There are several options available, but we provide a flexible fifth alternative that makes the accountant the hero.”

“Whilst other providers offer SMSF compliance and administration services, we go further and provide an all-in-one service that includes the crucial financial advice element that accountants’ clients need,” says Wayne Turner.

“By being specialist support partners we will offer collaborative strategic  advice delivery, white labelled administration and reporting from behind the scenes, therefore preserving and enhancing each accountant’s relationships with their clients.”

“We think this is quite a unique position to take on the impending ASIC deadline and one, we hope, that showcases the talent and expertise in our local region by serving accounting firms throughout Australia.”
